This Privacy Policy explains how Daywa Software ("Daywa", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Daywa mobile application (the "App").

Daywa is designed to work without a traditional account: no registration, no password, and no requirement to provide your real name or contact details. We collect the minimum information needed to generate your personalized content.

• Profile name — any name you choose to enter (it does not have to be your real name).
• Birth details — date of birth, and optionally time of birth and place of birth (city and country). These are required to generate astrological content, which is the core function of the App.
• Preferences — interface language and preferred tone of voice for generated content.
• Email address (optional) — only if you choose to add it in your profile. We do not require it and do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• Notes you attach to intents — stored locally on your device only.

• Anonymous account identifier — when the App first connects to our servers, we create a random identifier (UUID) for your device. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any external identity.
• Service usage records — which App features made server requests (for example, "daily horoscope requested"), timestamps, technical outcome (success/failure), and approximate resource usage. We use this to operate quotas, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate product usage. These records are linked only to your anonymous identifier.
• Subscription and purchase status — whether your account has an active subscription or promotional access, and purchase records needed to deliver what you paid for. Payment itself is processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment card details.

• Your profile (including any profile photo you set), saved intents and notes, and interface settings are stored locally on your device.
• Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain.
• If you enable the daily reminder, it is scheduled locally through iOS notifications.
• If you choose to create a reminder for an intent, it is created in your device's Reminders app with your permission; we do not receive its content

We do not collect: precise GPS location, contacts, photos (beyond an optional profile image kept on-device), advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking data. The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs.

• To generate your personalized astrological content (daily and monthly readings, birth chart insights, timing calendars, Mercury retrograde guidance).
• To operate your subscription, free allowances, and promotional access.
• To maintain service quality, enforce fair-use limits, and prevent abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for advertising.

To generate content, we share the minimum necessary data with the following processors:

• Astrology API (astrology-api.io): Astrological calculations (charts, transits). Data shared: Profile name, birth date/time/place.
• OpenAI: Turning astrological data into readable text in your language and tone. Data shared: Astrological interpretations derived from your birth details, profile name, language, tone.
• Apple: Payment processing, subscription management. Data shared: Handled under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.

These providers process data on our instructions to deliver the service. We do not permit them to use your data for their own advertising. Note that content-generation requests may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence.

• Server-side data (anonymous identifier, entitlements, usage records, generated birth-chart content) is kept while your account exists.
• Deleting your account (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) permanently deletes your server-side data, including your anonymous identifier, entitlements, usage records, and stored generated content. Locally stored data is removed from the device at the same time.
• Purchase records may be retained where required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance.
• If you simply delete the App without deleting the account, local data is removed by iOS, and server-side data associated with your anonymous identifier remains until deleted or until we remove inactive records.

• Depending on your location (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
• Because Daywa accounts are anonymous, the fastest way to exercise deletion is the in-app Delete Account function. For any other request, contact us at hello@daywa.app. Note: because we cannot link an anonymous identifier to you without information from your device, we may ask you to make requests from within the App.
• We do not use your personal data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Astrological content is generated automatically, but it is entertainment content, not a decision about you.

Data in transit is protected with TLS. Access tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Server-side data is stored in access-controlled infrastructure, and administrative access is restricted and authenticated. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you not to place sensitive personal details in free-text fields (such as intent titles or notes).

Daywa is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age required in your country, e.g. 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us at hello@daywa.app and we will delete it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page, with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK and believe your rights have been infringed, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
